The dressage competitions are open to everyone, even if you have never competed in dressage before, please keep an eye on our Upcoming Events page for the next Dressage event.
Rider dress code:
A 3-point harness hat to standard PAS 015 or EN 1384 to be worn. If wearing a skull cap, use a dark blue or black cover,
A navy or black jacket with shirt and tie or stock is usually worn,
A hacking jacket or plain school jumper will be fine,
Beige, cream or white jodhpurs or breeches,
Leather or rubber long black or brown boots, short boots with jodhpurs or plain chaps with short boots as long as they match the colour of the boots,
Spurs are permitted, where necessary, only in the competitive classes.
Whips are generally permitted, if required and to be no longer than 110cm,
Plain coloured gloves must be worn.
Your horse:
Must be smart and tidy, preferably plaited where possible,
A plain coloured saddle, leather or synthetic,
A plain black or brown bridle, leather or synthetic,
A snaffle must be used,
It is optional to use a numnah or saddlecloth, preferably white (or plain black or brown),
Martingales, rein stops or bit guards are not permitted. A breastplate is allowed.
Boots, including over reach boots, and bandages may be used while warming up, but must be removed before entering arena.
